Sardinia & Cagliari

Sardinian island immersed in the sea, island of natural beauties……your favourite island! Year after year, its unique colors and ancient traditions conquer millions of visitors who flood this corner of paradise situated in the heart of the Mediterranean.

Seas and beaches

The word Sardinia has always been associated with the sea and vacations.  Every summer, its coastlines and towns are final destinations for VIPs and regular tourists looking to relax and have fun.  Porto Cervo, Alghero, Villasimius, Stintino, Carloforte…are just some of the more prominent towns; but all corners in Sardinia are able to pleasantly surprise tourists.

Archaeology

Nuraghe, menhir, domus de janas, necropolises, Roman villas, medieval fortresses….a land like few others that shows clear, tangible evidence of its numerous, ancient past civilizations.  An abundant photo gallery of Sardinia will take you through a journey during which you will discover findings of unique and important archaeological value.

Traditions

The thousand-year old Sardinian traditions and costumes can still be found today in many examples of daily life, primarily in the interior Island, as well as the local artisans’ products that are exported world-wide.  The local festivals and religious occurrences are reason for celebration during which there is an explosion of colors and typical Sardinian flavors and in which the tourist can take part.

Monuments

Sardinia is ground for comprehensive testimonials of each of the many peoples that, during the course of the centuries, have inhabited the Island.  Evidence of our Island’s rich cultural and artistic history can be found in the Basilica di Saccargia, the Roman Amphitheatre in Cagliari and the hundreds of towers and fortresses that were built during the various historical epochs.  The caves, abandoned mines and wind-sculpted rocks simply add to its numerous, truly natural monuments.
