Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)
Q: What do I need for my travel in Sardinia? A: We invite you to bring a sun cream lotion, sunglasses and beach gear (towel, brush, sandals…), a pair of light sport shoes, very light clothes for the day and for social activities during the night, a small dictionary and… a good sense of humor and a lot of fun! Also, we strongly recommend to ask in advance to the chosen travel companies about airport rules related to the international transport of hand luggage and “sensible” objects such as bottles, liquids or alimental products.
Q: Is it necessary to speak Italian, English and Russian languages to be accepted for your courses? A: No: there isn’t such a need, but at least a basic mastery of one of such languages is recommended to successfully following our courses and to join to group activities.
Q: Are your events only for students? A: Absolutely no. We accept everybody is willing to participate. Still, about our Holydays & Vacations event we prefer young people between 20 and 35 years old, because this way it is easier for our participants to make new friends.
Q: Do you accept also persons which are not 18 years old yet? R: The complexity of National and International laws prevent ISDRI from accepting guests which have not reached legal age (age of consent) accordingly to their National laws. Thus, ISDRI choose to evaluate every single demand before accepting this kind of participants: as general guidelines, we may accept European underage citizens fostered by a legal tutor or by local official organizations which may grant for their own responsibility and care. If underage guest do not own European citizenry, we may think about accepting them into our events only if they come together with their parents.
Q: Why is there a marginal variability about your Holiday & Study event final price?A: Coherently to its cultural exchange purposes, ISDRI has created its Holiday & Study event as main tool to encourage contacts among Sardinia and other Nations: for this reason, we want this event to be as cheapest as possible. Still, in order to realize such events, we have to afford some fixed expenses also at international level: they are different from Nation to Nation due to a different life cost and so they have a different influence on the event’s overall price. Since we don’t want our guests to pay for services that they never receive, only for this event we have chosen to avoid a generic and more expensive fee in favor of money-saving differed fees for each Nation where ISDRI is present, which are reported above.
